Eric has been our on & off home for the last 3 weeks and he has enjoyed touring with us from Brighton to Suffolk to Dorset to Devon to Somerset to Wiltshire to Middlesex and back to Brighton. He has been with us to pubs and beaches and festivals and hotels, to relies and to friends.

Everyone has enjoyed getting in Eric to go somewhere and especially we have liked showing up and popping up Eric's roof to all sleep in him. Now we are going to America and I think it is inevitable that we will be looking up one of Eric's cousins, a left handed one, and continue our travels in camper style.

Hope you have happy memories of Eric, if you are reading this.

How smug do we feel? Pulling up on a windswept Somerset beach watching others struggle with the windbreaks & eat sand filled sandwiches whilst we pop the top and fire up the bacon sardines. Heaven.

Eric is a head-turner; where-ever we've been people stop to chat & we've throughly enjoyed pretending he's ours & raving about all his good bits. People don't even seem to mind being stuck behind a VW Camper, like they do a lorry or a caravan, they"re happy to sit & check him out. Not to say, that Eric's slow though, I was amazed how he cruises so smoothly and quietly & I love driving him with that big old steering wheel. It's real driving when you drive a van like Eric, no power-assisted nonsense!

We've had a brilliant holiday & it's re-fuelled our desire to own a van ourselves. Just need a garage. x

Eric's Magical Mystery Tour!! Eastbourne -> Herne Bay -> Hastings -> LittleHampton -> Bogner Regis...

Certainly an iconic vehicle to travel in, it has brough smiles to our faces & those of many others!..

Great fun had by all & has been a talking point for many (even the AA man!!)...

Driving 'him' around has been a pleasure & it is now something I can tick off my 'Bucket List' - The memories of this trip will last a lifetime... :)

Thankyou Mark & Sarah (& for dropping off the 'Jump Starter' in LittleHampton!) x

I hired Eric as a wedding car surprise for my wife-to-be, and the whole idea of using a campervan really added to the special atmosphere of the day. He turned up looking stunning and was a huge hit with the guests, many having their photos taken with him in the background. En route, people in the street smiled and waved, and the unique sensation of driving him left us giggling all the way. The team at campervanatics went far beyond normal hospitality, letting us have him at short notice and at an extremely agreeable price when my original option fell through. They even dressed Eric up in full wedding regalia, with all the perks, as a surprise. We can't wait to hire Eric and deal with campervanatics again; the whole experience is highly recommended!
